Directions

For the past several years, Harvest has been proud to send a missions team to Zambia.  This year, our team will be taking along hand-sewn hygiene products to the women and girls there.

There have been many hands working behind the scenes throughout the year to wash, cut, assemble, sew and get the contents for the hygiene kits ready to be packed for Zambia.  All skill levels are welcome.  We need people who can insert snaps with pliers (snaps and tools are  provided).  We need packers to help pack the completed bags.   If you have a heavy duty sewing machine that can sew through thick layers, please bring your machine  for you to help finish sewing anything left  that needs to be sewn.   Children 10 and up are welcome with their parent.  Please bring a finger food snack to share.

Baby care bags can be prepacked and brought to church in a 1 gallon Ziploc bag. Items desired:  outfit, sleeper, onesie, socks, receiving blanket, bottle or sippy cup, burp cloth, spoon, bib, small toy or pacifier.  The bags do not have to have everything listed, but they should have a good variety of baby items for new mothers to use.  Check out thrift stores, yard sales, etc.  Gently used and clean items are acceptable.
